I couldn’t agree more. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they used it for London’s 2012 Olympics. It was like welcoming back an old friend.

    To The World,

    I Believe…

There will never be another Olynpic Games like this one for us…

There will never be another Olynpic Song quite like this either…

Thanks Niki & to the Composers. WOW!

There are very few things left in this world of any worth; this was one of those.

To BC, Canada, to the Athletes, and to the world Thank You

But mostly Thanks – to the God of all Creation

Believe it – that there is a better world coming.

    See You In Russia…

    God Bless Canada

  5. Rob Catlin says:

This song should be Canada’s new official national anthem. The song truly captured the Canadian spirit like no other song before it and gave us permission to dream and to celebrate our Canadian heritage. God bless this song.

Nikki Yanofsky was born in Montreal and has been performing there since age 12. She just turned 16.
She normally sings jazz and blues. I think her first recording was a track on a 2007 tribute album to Ella Fitzgerald for Verve Records (making her the youngest person ever recorded on that label). Shes toured with the likes of Wyclef Jean & just released her debut album.

The song was written by Stephan Moccio & Alan Frew and was comissioned by the CTV-lead “Olympic Broadcast Consortium” as their Vancouver Olympics theme song.

Not to be confused with the song “Believe” which was written by producers Marti Frederickson & Kara DioGuardi (yes, the American Idol judge) for the 2007 debut album of Toronto’s Suzie McNeil (who gained attention on the 2005 reality TV show “Rockstar INXS”). That song (& her recoding of it) was used by the “Own the Podium” program as it’s theme (proceeds from downloads of it went to “Own the Podium” which in turn funded athletes).
